This bug is about dim/undim, the other bug is about blanking screen so it goes all black. Am I wrong? Anyway, my screen dims and do not undim as it should. Tried logout/login, suspend resume. No luck. I'm on kernel 3.0.0-16-generic in Ubuntu 11.10. Btw, although the workaround of a user-level setting to never dim the screen works in part, the screen will also dim on lightdm before anyone has logged in, if one waits long enough. I see the same issue -- System 76 Pangolin, using stock 11.10 + fglrx drivers.
