I just noticed something else! [Bug 765514] Re: printing certain pdfs (samsung 1660, pdf generated using lyx/latex) works using pdftoraster but not pdftoraster-poppler
I think that I have the same or at least a related problem: When printing djvu files to my Samsung ML-2010R using the SPLIX driver, I repeatedly got session timeouts and and a very high CPU utilization due to pdftoraster-poppler. Replacing /usr/lib/cups/filter/pdftoraster- poppler by a symlink to /usr/lib/cups/filter/pdftoraster solves the problem. The printer is fed as fast as possible and the CPU utilization does not skyrocket. Could it be that the SPLIX driver triggers a bug in the poppler code? [Bug 697358] Re: Regression in window list applet (wnck-applet) behavior
This bug affects me. The only workaround that works for me is the changing-background one. Something else to add that no one else seems to have noticed: The window buttons automatically rearrange themselves in order of activity - if you use a window more, its button moves rightwards in the list. This is not caused by a Compiz plugin - I disabled plugins in turn and still experienced the behaviour. [Bug 788537] Re: Evolution dies on startup pthread
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788537 Title: Evolution dies on startup pthread -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Thanks! When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's Help - Report a Problem menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/782644 Title: No weather applet, Will only read months 1 2 of year 2010 Thunderbird reads all emails. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
