[Bug 49579] Re: screen doesn't lock when panel menu is open

2009-06-05 Thread Marc Gariépy
The same behavior can also be produced when you press CTRL+D in
firefox.

Way to reproduce :
1- open firefox
2- go to a webpage: http://launchpad.net/ (any have the same effect)
3- Press CTRL+D
4- do not close the bookmark page pop-up. It's not possible to lock the screen
by waiting or pressing CTRL+L

[Bug 384041] [NEW] gnome-menu doesn't hide Lock Screen even when the user doesn't have the right to lock the screen

2009-06-05 Thread Marc Gariépy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-menus

Description:Ubuntu 9.04
Release:9.04

I modify the gconf.default.mandatory so the users on my system can't lock their
screen. The option work fine except that the menu doesn't hide the entry Lock
Screen.

gnome should hide the entry when the action isn't possible by the user.

[Bug 413728] Re: alacarte does not remove main menu item

2010-11-10 Thread Marc Gariépy
The problem is caused by :
...
DefaultLayout inline=true inline_limit=6 inline_header=false
  Merge type=menus/
  Merge type=files/
/DefaultLayout
...

in /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu

When the limit of 6 items is not reached for sub-menu, the menu doesn't
create a sub-menu in the Games menu, it includes items directly under
the Games menu.

gmenu-simple-editor create an applications.menu that exclude a games in
Games but it should create the file to remove from the Cards sub-menu
since the item is part of this submenu.

Maybe a new flag should be added to python-gmenu to show real path
without the DefaultLayout conditions.

2010-12-06 Thread Marc Gariépy
Public bug reported:

The default configuration for evolution is to sort mails by
date/acsending, i would be nice to sort it by date descending instead.

Having to configure for each folder is not very user friendly.

Thanks.

[Bug 894487] [NEW] Gnome-panel won't redraw under tooltip

2011-11-24 Thread Marc Gariépy
Public bug reported:

When using metacity if I place a nautilus window under gnome-panel in
the bottom, and I move my mouse on a shortcut to have a tool-tip over
gnome-panel, when I move the mouse to another shortcut, the area where
the tool-tip was on gnome-panel is incorrectly redrawn with the content
under gnome-panel.

This behaviour is only reproducible with metacity, using compiz doesn't
have the same issue.
