Re: [Bug 1897478] Re: ubuntu 20.04 is extremely slow to upgrade, install or uninstall any software and launch any of it

2020-09-28 Thread Solaris
All of them but not snap (gnome-software ) has the same issue:
1- Some time from Terminal shell command apt,
2- or just click on update manager
3- or Synaptic
4- gnome-software does not have delay time of others, but doesn't have
complete inventory of software (list) either.,

Re: [Bug 153120] Re: libcurl.co libcurl.co update failed audacious-plugins & audacious-plugins-extra

2007-10-19 Thread Solaris
Brian,
Automatic update doesn't give any detail information what is package
correlated to this lib file, ( Which I can suggest to add this feature to
update online !!), but I think file is correlated to UBUNTU-STUDIO, because
when I tried to purge this file definitely by aptitude/ synaptics, the
system informed me I should delete also Ubunti-studio and other file
correlated. which unfortunately I couldn't do that, because of test and
applications I try to use.

I hope this comment would help you.

2007-10-27 Thread Solaris
I think It is correlated to standby and power-saving state system, and it
could be also combination Visual effect compiz and idle GUI During idle
state of laptop; because it's often happened when I left laptop for a while
and after return back and awake GUI interface which was remained black
during idle state, the workspaceswitcher it didn't work.

[Bug 84315] ubuntu GUI Crashed and did not restore anymore! (Not Restorable !!?)

2007-02-22 Thread Solaris
Public bug reported:

The reason is unknown weather is related to after doing online update
and installation of some application, or not.. the fact is after a few
minute the upper and lower panel frizzed. Mouse could move but its click
did not effect to any menu or icons on both 2 panels; there was not
access to any application; killed X, restarted but after Gui login, no
panel, icons, nothing but orange background. From Command line I did not
find any command for gnome restore.

I launched terminal failsafe and run command gnome-control-center; then click
to run sessions , but I received following feedback:
"**(gnome-session-properties:32023):CRITICAL **: gsm_protocol_new:assertion
'GNOME_CLIENT_CONNECTED (gnome_Client)' failed
** (gnome-session-properties:32023): WARNING **: Could not connect to
gnome-session."

** Affects: malone (upstream)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Rejected
** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed

Re: [Bug 84315] Re: ubuntu GUI Crashed and did not restore anymore! (Not Restorable !!?)

2007-02-27 Thread Solaris
Ubunto last version 6.10, It seems problem was update online, because after
reboot averything came back to standard GUI as I set it upped.
I did not see any problem later therefore I did not used gnome session to
track the process.
