[Bug 88815] Re: Sluggish rendering since xorg 7.2 update
A couple of things/differences I noted whilst reading through your logs: - The Xorg.0.log from Herd5 mentions it can't initialize the GLX extensions, since it is using the Nvidia libglx.so Might this be the cause? - In the Xorg.0.log from Herd5 AIGLX is disabled (since it can't load the GLX module) - The Xorg.0.log from Herd5 mentions it loads a vm86 module (libvm86.so), which isn't loaded in the Herd4 log. It might be good to try to keep the config the same, so the comparison is fair (though the stock config might be different). -- Sluggish rendering since xorg 7.2 update https://launchpad.net/bugs/88815 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 138726] gnome-appearance-properties tabs don't work/display
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center When running gnome-appearance-properties only the first tab (Theme) sort of works (I can click on different themes, but they aren't really selected. When clicking on any of the other tabs it seems like nothing happens (it still shows the Theme tab), but when I click inside the window it is possible to hit the buttons that should be there (ie open the font- select window), but this window only displays the window itself, all boxes are just white squared. This happens both with and without compositing. When running gnome-appearance-properties from the console the only output I get (for whatever reason) is: /bin/sh: /usr/bin/esd: not found sh: kde-config: not found sh: kde-config: not found There is at least 1 more report from this, which can be found @ the ubuntuforums, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3338105highlight=appearance#post3338105 ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-appearance-properties tabs don't work/display https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 138726] Re: gnome-appearance-properties tabs don't work/display
I used to be running Ubuntu, but later on I installed kubuntu-desktop, to give KDE a try. I didn't like it, so I removed all KDE related packages, so basically it should've been a generale Ubuntu install. I didn't try another user. Unfortunately I won't be able to try it, because I had to format that PC. For what it's worth: I upgraded from Feisty, before upgrading I disabled all 3rd party repositories and removed the software that was supplied through them. Yet it might be an upgrading (KDE related) problem. Someone in the forums mentioned that with the update from 11.09.2007 (about 130 MB download) it was fixed, see: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3343081#post3343081 But it didn't fix the problem for me. -- gnome-appearance-properties tabs don't work/display https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 259438] Re: evolution-data-server-2.24 crashed with SIGILL in g_main_context_dispatch()
Happens right after login, didn't do anything yet. This has been happening for some time though, not exactly sure but I guess since alpha 2 or 3. -- evolution-data-server-2.24 crashed with SIGILL in g_main_context_dispatch() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/259438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution-data-server in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 257472] Re: evolution-alarm-notify crashed with SIGSEGV in g_slice_alloc()
Same problem. Just surfing using Firefox, not doing anything else. Since I don't know what caused it/how to reproduce it it seems kind of difficult to make a decent Valgrind log. Would it be usefull to just start the Valgrind log and wait/hope it crashes? -- evolution-alarm-notify crashed with SIGSEGV in g_slice_alloc() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257472 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 263986] Re: sftp mount fails to copy files in nautilus
Reopening since I am also experiencing this bug. Just connected to an FTP server with username/password. Uploading (via copy/paste or dragging) doesn´t work, downloading (via copy/paste or dragging) works fine. Tried it with 3 different FTP servers (all with username/password) and all of them give the same error message: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method Upload with signature ayayuo on interface org.gtk.vfs.Mount doesn't exist Copying via gvfs-copy does work though. Uptime 15 hours and haven't restarted my session since the upgrade yet. ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- sftp mount fails to copy files in nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263986 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
