Re: Heads-up: possible breakage in the master flatpak runtime
Hi again, We've discovered that updating with GNOME Software will break your flatpak apps. You must update with the flatpak CLI to fix this, not with GNOME Software. Everything should be in good shape after you do a one-time update using the CLI. Re: Heads-up: possible breakage in the master flatpak runtime
Hi there, Just wanted to give an update on this, we've completed the update to the newer fd.o runtime base and you should see some new extensions wanted to be install upon `flatpak update`. Also finished rebuilding x86_64 versions of nightlies so you can update everything now. There are a couple build failures, most likely due to newer toolchain and new compiler errors. Please take a look and update your flatpak manifests accordingly. If you find any issues with the new runtime please report them here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-build-meta/issues/ Thanks a lot to Abderrahim and Tristan for working on this and fixing the issues that came up. Hi, I wound up reverting back to the 18.08 runtime due to some problems. Now Abderrahim has fixed the problems with the last attempt and we are trying to upgrade to 19.08 again. The same warning applies: nightly apps may be broken for a day or two. Thanks for your patience. Re: Heads-up: possible breakage in the master flatpak runtime
Hi, It looks like the runtime is going to be broken for a couple days due to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-build-meta/issues/181. You can downgrade to the last good version with: $ flatpak update --commit=4935b45d02b85cf5ab09a7ec28f851fcc850f28f0e9b9911808f002c49aee6eb org.gnome.Platform//master Michael ___ desktop-devel-list mailing list desktop-devel-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop-devel-list
Heads-up: possible breakage in the master flatpak runtime
Hi GNOMErs, it's that time of the year again, we're updating our flatpak runtimes to the master branch of freedesktop-sdk (what will become 19.08). There are some major changes in it, so please report any issues you find. Notably, mesa has been split out as an extension. There are also new cross-toolchains extensions. The platform extensions should be available on the gnome-nightly repo, but you'll need to use the freedesktop-sdk repo if you want to use sdk extension (rust for instance). Nightly apps may be broken (as in refuse to start) for up to 24h until they're rebuilt against the new ABI, so if you depend on a nigtly app don't update today.
