I updated the wiki page; Luca Ferretti had already updated the jhbuild
moduleset while I was not looking :)

No complain so far -- can someone update the wiki page and the moduleset
to use cairo 1.6.4?

Thanks,

Vincent

I'm still hoping or user font support in the next Pango version, which would
require Cairo 1.8.
I have no idea about the release schedule for future Cairo/Pango releases
though.

Yes, that is true. 1.6.4 is the first 'good' 1.6 release.

Yeah, I think I set it at 1.5.2 because of the Win32 printing surface
(and 1.6.0 wasn't out yet at the time). As far as I know, that was the
only reason it got bumped before.

I believe that 1.6.4 is currently considered all-the-rage as far as
bug fixes are concerned. For sanity's sake, lets align ourselves with
other projects and bump to that version.

minimum cairo dependency

2008-06-02 Thread Matthias Clasen
It was pointed out to me that
http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentythree/ExternalDependencies still
lists cairo 1.2.6 as minimum version.
I recently bumped the cairo dependency in GTK+ 2.13 to 1.6 (it already
was at 1.5.2 before).
I think we should bump the minimum required version of cairo to 1.6.0
for Gnome 2.24.
