** Changed in: oem-priority Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1937988 Title: The image is distorted while use iGPU rendering and output via AMD GPU Status in OEM Priority Project: Fix Released Status in mesa package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in mesa source package in Focal: Fix Released Status in mesa source package in Hirsute: Fix Released Bug description: [Impact] Image is distorted with PRIME, caused by mismatch in stride alignment between intel and amdgpu/nvidia after intel bumped the alignment to 256 bytes. [Fix] Upstream fixed it in 21.2-series, and backport to 21.0.x needs four commits in total. [Test case] 1. Connect a monitor on the AMD GPU. 2. Power on the system and boot into OS. 3. Run below command to launch glxgears Cmd> DRI_PRIME=1 glxgears -info * Expected result The image is not distorted while running the glxgears * Actual result The image is distorted while running the glxgears [Where things might go wrong] This is a regression caused by the intel driver, so the backports merely fix what got broken. Regressions would only manifest on hybrid graphics platforms. --- Here is the upstream bug for tracking this issue. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/11942?commit_id=505f815e5ead8c9872bbda4c1ff3aeaee7223d64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1937988/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[ Regression potential ] PAM configuration for smartcard changed the order [1] we check the services, so: - if a /var/run/nologin the user will be denied for accessing the system only after that the PIN has been inserted. - root may be an allowed user, if associated to a smartcard (even though we trust SSSD PAM module and configuration explicitly disallows it). [1] https://salsa.debian.org/gnome- team/gdm/-/compare/90e71bd4...d32be2e5 --- There's a SSSD side of this fix (for the carts with multiple certificates) that is part of 2.4.1 and should be handled by https://github.com/SSSD/sssd/pull/5401/ (+ commit https://github.com/SSSD/sssd/commit/4ea1739d09b) GDM should instead handle empty users properly both in the PAM config and sending the info back to gnome-shell. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1940779] [NEW] has_options missing so ssh-agent doesn't start
Public bug reported: The file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/20x11-common_process-args is missing the definition of the function has_option() in the 21.04 distribution. As a result, when lightdm starts X11, even though use-ssh-agent is specified in Xsession.options, the test fails and so the agent is not started. This is in the context of using the i3 window manager, which shouldn't matter except that maybe gnome does stuff on its own that makes the problem not apparent there. After 'File->Print', the correct printer specified by the lpoptions command should be hilighted in print dialog. Instead, the default CUPS printer is hilighted. This stinks when you use something like LTSP because you can have 10 or 20 printers connected and the default should be based on workstation location and set by a login script using lpoptions. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 802942] Re: printing PDFs (and other complex documents) from GTK applications fails
@mejo, @Adrian Johnson - Can you still reproduce this bug on Firefox 90 or later? ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Changed in: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/802942 Title: printing PDFs (and other complex documents) from GTK applications fails Status in Mozilla Firefox: New Status in cups package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in cups-filters package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hello, I'm discovering a bug when printing complex PDFs or other complex documents from GTK applications. Printing complex PDFs from evince, or sometimes even printing comples webpages from firefox result in one error page being printed instead of the document content: +-+ | ERROR NAME;| | undefined| | COMMAND; | | Q| | OPERAND STACK; | +-+ My printer is a Brother HL 5270DN. It doesn't matter whether the printer is connected via USB or as network printer. In both cases the described bug does happen. The PPD I use is "Brother HL-5270DN BR- Script3", similar to the one at http://www.openprinting.org/download/PPD/Brother/BR5270_2_GPL.ppd I discovered this bug in up-to-date Debian unstable for several years already. Now I switched one of my laptops to Ubuntu Natty (fresh installation), and unfortunately discovered the same bug there as well. I'm pretty sure that this bug is related to bug #419143, and not really in CUPS, but rather in some library (poppler or cairo) used by GTK applications. The same PDFs that produce the described error in evince, print fine in okular. I attach an example PDF that doesn't print in evince, but prints fine in okular. It's sufficient to (try to) print page 1 of the document. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1940762] [NEW] Focus remains on create-folder mini-form in system Save dialog
Public bug reported: When you are in the context of saving a document in a text editor, or a web page in a browser, or any other similar situation, the Save dialog of the system opens. I assume this is still part of nautilus – please redirect me to the appropriate software if not. After successfully creating a folder there the focus remains on the create-folder popup mini-form. The popup resets and closes but the focus still remains on it – specifically, on the Create button. Because of this, hotkeys like ENTER or ALT+S try to submit the reset form again (and then the popup opens again) instead of being interpreted as Save. As a workaround, I just noticed that you can hit TAB to shift the focus to the Save button. But still, this is a minor bug.
