Pressing the lock shortcut "freezes" the screen - clicking it doesn't do anything, but whatever I had open remains shown. Locking it "again" show to login page, but the dock is visible and can be interacted with. I started settings after installation and it worked. But when I clicked on Users tab, it freezed. So I clicked wait twice and then force close. Then I reinstalled and settings didn't work anymore. I reinstalled gnome, disabled tweak extensions, removed .config and .cache and .local from home dir. After that gnome settings started to work again. The only explanation for removing the menu item "File/Open Tab" is, that maintainers of gnome-terminal do not use Gnome terminal themselves. Public bug reported: After some update (unfortunately I'm not sure what) if I try to play a videofile (e.g. mpv movie.mkv) I get this error: libGL error: failed to open drm device: Permission denied I think from this message is not very clear why is that. I figured out I was not in "video" group: "id user_name" I had to do this: "usermod -aG video user_name " and then restart X (logout, login). After that it works again. So I suspect there is some problem there. Why libGL cannot be used without membership in video group or why a regular user is not in video group. Public bug reported: After the recent kernel upgrade 2.4.0-23 the computer freezes (see the screenshot) and I'm not able to login neither into a graphic mode nor the text console. When I try previous kernel 4.2.0-22 the result is the same even if it worked before. When I go to the recovery mode (Grub menu > Advanced options > Linux 4.2.0-23-generic (recovery mode)) and just select "Resume normal boot" it boots as normal and I can login into KDE. I have a similar issue after clean install of Kubuntu 15.10. No matter if I use fglrx or fglrx-updates when trying to launching amdcccle I get this: "There was a problem initilizing Catalyst Control Center Linux edition". I used the Driver manager to install these drivers. I have a HP ProBook 450 with a hybrid graphic. Now I cant switch to dedicated GA. Fixed by deleting the directory '/run/user/1000/pulse'. Then I had to kill vlc (VLC media player) process that was waiting endlessly saing Failed to create secure directory (/run/user/1000/pulse). After some additional testing it seems that the tablet works in a random manner (some reboots it does, most it doesn't but it doesn't seem to be related to it being plugged in USB on boot).
