[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1848228] Re: Impossible to unlock because keyboard language doesn't switch
Workaround: Alt-F6 to switch to a text terminal login there sudo pkill -9 gnome-screensav F7 to switch back to GUI The screen is unlocked. Note, even pkill -9 gnome-screensav should be enough I think (wihtou sudo), because I saw gnome-screensav is run from the same non-root user. Maybe even pkill gnome-screensav But I the tested variant is `sudo pkill -9 gnome-screensav`, I haven't tried the simplified variant. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1848228 Title: Impossible to unlock because keyboard language doesn't switch Status in gnome-screensaver package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: My password has latin characters. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1330260] [NEW] Unity doesn't start after recent Ubuntu updates
Public bug reported: My Ubuntu 14.0.4 LTS got several software updates during the last days. Today I have rebooted my computer. After I login, the screen only has the purple ubuntu background, but no Unity panels/toolbars. Tried to reboot several times - doesn't help. I am able to switch to console with Alt+F6. From console I installed Gnome - doesn't work either. Thanks God, LXDE works - that's what I am using now. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu.
