[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1708874] Re: Touchpad stops working after a few seconds
I have similar issue on Ubuntu 17.10(Ubuntu on Xorg), 4.10.0-37-generic running on: Manufacturer: Acer Product Name: Spin SP513-51 The touch-pad freezes, though not immediately after reboot, but every 2-3 hours or so. There are no records in dmesg at the time of freeze. Logging out and back does not help, only rebooting works. The issue persists in Ubuntu(Wayland) as well. Changing kernel did not help. Please let me know if you need any logs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1708874 Title: Touchpad stops working after a few seconds Status in xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hardware: Lenovo ideapad 320, AMD A12 processor AMD A12-9720P RADEON R7, 12 COMPUTE CORES 4C+8G × 4 Software: Ubuntu Mate 17.10 Description: Ubuntu Artful Aardvark (development branch) Release: 17.10 Expected Behavior: Touchpad working. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1728187] Re: Wacom pointer disappears completely, after using the tablet for few seconds (Ubuntu 17.10)
Additional Observation: This issue seems specific to Wayland. The tablet is usable when switched to Xorg. ** Also affects: wayland (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libwacom in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728187 Title: Wacom pointer disappears completely, after using the tablet for few seconds (Ubuntu 17.10) Status in libwacom package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in wayland package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 17.10(gnome, Wayland, 4.10.0-37-generic). I can still use the tablet to draw stuff, but there is no visible pointer on screen, so I am doing it blindly. Just so you know the mouse pointer appears separately and works fine.
