Since I regretably have clients that only use Windows and OSX, I stopped developing on Linux. One of the biggest reasons is that LibreOffice seems to be very badly tested on the database components. And LO is one of the auto update components on Ubuntu. I recently tested LO 3.5.3 (under windows) and again there are blocking issues for base usages. I reported those on bugzila and swiched back to OpenOffice 3.3. Until LibreOffice proves to be well tested for base usage, I will continue developing on Windows (wich I don't like). I use Debian, Ruby, JavaScript and OpenOffice basic to build my user applications. So sorry to say. But I can not test further because I have no Ubuntu running anymore.
