[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1576559] Re: Refused to switch profile to headset_head_unit: Not connected
Same issue here with Aukey EP-N5 bluetooth earbuds on 20.04.1. This is a top-selling set of earbuds on Amazon so I thought they'd work. The microphone doesn't appear at all in the list of input devices under system Sound Settings. Attempting to change the profile within Blueman to HSP/HFP results in "Failed to change profile to headset_head_unit". Maddening. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576559 Title: Refused to switch profile to headset_head_unit: Not connected Status in PulseAudio: Unknown Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I'm trying to connect a bluetooth-speaker-with-microphone (Mi Bluetooth Speaker) to Ubuntu. It works well as an A2DP sync, but can't use it as a headset with microphone. The device doesn't list in the "Input Devices" by default, and using the sound settings to change the profile of the device to HSP/HFP results in this log message: W: [pulseaudio] module-bluez5-device.c: Refused to switch profile to headset_head_unit: Not connected I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1880337] Re: Screen lock won't work
In my case I was able to narrow down the problem to the gTile extension. (I've never had Dash-to-panel installed.) Now all I have to do is find a way to live without gTile :) Thanks for the tip! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1880337 Title: Screen lock won't work Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Screen lock won't work i focal. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1880337] Re: Screen lock won't work
I am seeing this exact behavior as well. In my case, hitting Super-L will blank the screen for a half second, and when it comes back, all of my hidden windows (windows behind other windows) have been brought forward. I need to repeat this process and hit Super-L a total of four times before I see the lockscreen. Yuri, are you able to lock the desktop at all by hitting Super-L several times? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1880337 Title: Screen lock won't work Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Screen lock won't work i focal. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1876826] [NEW] Once enabled on multiple displays, the dock won't return to only "primary display"
Public bug reported: Relatively fresh install of 20.04 here. I'm on an XPS 13 with "Intel Iris Plus Graphics (ICL GT2)" if that helps. I have it connected to an external Dell monitor. The two displays are joined. Fractional scaling is enabled: 200% on the laptop display, 100% on the external monitor. The external monitor is set to be the Primary Display. Under Ubuntu's Settings/Appearance config screen, I went down to the "Dock" settings. I tried out a few different placements of the dock, on both screens vs just the primary, tried changing the position, tried auto-hiding, etc just to get a feel for how these settings might look. Ultimately I decided that the defaults were the best, and wanted to return the dock to the left-hand side of the Primary Display only. While I could get the dock back into position on the left side of the screen, I could not get it to disappear from the secondary display. The "Show on" dropdown has no effect. Appearing within the "Show on" drop down are three choices: "All displays", "Built-in display", and "Dell Inc. 18"". No matter what I select in this dropdown, the dock will now only ever appear on All displays, all the time. I'd like to return to the default behavior, with the dock only appearing on the Primary Display.
