[Desktop-packages] [Bug 910272] Re: USB-Parallel adapter produces crappy device URI and CUPS usb backend cannot cope with it
Having very similar issues to carlossl. Running Ubuntu 13.04, an EPSON LQ-1070+ (running the LQ-570+ drivers, which work fine) and a QinHeng Electronics CH340S USB to parallel connector. On a 12.04 machine I could use the printer with the regular parellel cable. The only real difference is that I have no /dev/usb/. If necessary I can upload all the output, but as mentioned before, very similar to the ones from carlossl. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/910272 Title: USB-Parallel adapter produces crappy device URI and CUPS usb backend cannot cope with it Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “cups” source package in Oneiric: Won't Fix Bug description: Parallel port dot matrix printer Panasonic KX-P2124 connected via usb- parallel cable to HP6600 PC; running Ubuntu 11.10 system located on external hard drive attached by usb. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 981559] Re: can't start nautilus
I did run it from the command line .. i unfortinately can't reproduce it. (I restarted for other motives and it solved itself) The message was something like: Wrong type ... bg(s{av}) instead of bs(savb) or something similar. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/981559 Title: can't start nautilus Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I simply can't start Nautilus anymore. Did tons of updates, restarted, dead. Might inflict some PPAs, my dependencies sometimes have been (or possible still are) in a rather bad state. Anyhow VERY annoying, I don't have another filemanager, leaving me a little .. crashed. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 907724] [NEW] can't assign numpad keys correctly to shortcuts
Public bug reported: uname -a : Linux -Ubuntu-x64 3.0.0-14-generic #23-Ubuntu SMP Mon Nov 21 20:28:43 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux running Unity. I switch workspaces a lot so i found it usefull to be able to switch them even quicker by assigning the directions to the arrow keys on the numpad. My numpad is (while Numlock is off) a bunch of PageUp, PageDown, Home, End et cetera keys. When turning numlock on, all these functions are disabled in favor to the numbers. The problem is, that the shortcut is apparently not assigned to the Arrow but the Key itself, so pressing Num4 also triggers the shortcut to switch to the left, even while Numlock is activated. Thus, assigning shortcuts to the NumPad - Arrows makes it absolutely unusable to enter numbers, which in some way is the main use of the numpad. What I'd like it to be like: While the NumLock is off, i can trigger the Shortcut. While the NumLock is on, i can type numbers. ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/907724 Title: can't assign numpad keys correctly to shortcuts Status in “metacity” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: uname -a : Linux -Ubuntu-x64 3.0.0-14-generic #23-Ubuntu SMP Mon Nov 21 20:28:43 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux running Unity.
