[Desktop-packages] [Bug 993674] [NEW] Javascript falsely reported as blocked in Firefox
Public bug reported: An extremely important site for my work, the NCBI Protein Data Bank stores crystal structure of proteins which used to be easily downloadable. Not now, the site reports Firefox 12 as not compatible indicating that javascripts are blocked. The site is: http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/browser/browsercheck.do According to Firefox preferences Javascripts are enabled. The NCBI PDB site advices to install an Oracle Java plugin in Firefox, but this does not solve the problem; furthermore if the Oracle plugin is installed Firefox becomes unstable, and still does not work with the NCBI PDB site. The problem is extremely critical to me and I believe to many other scientists.
