[Desktop-packages] [Bug 912454] Re: Blank incoming messages

2014-05-29 Thread CrusaderAD
First reported over 2 years ago? I can confirm this still occurs in
Ubuntu 14.04 32bit as of May 29th 2014. The only work around is to close
the window and re-open the conversation. This is a big problem. Should
this be reported to the Gnome developers? I've used empathy in Gnome and
other distros without this issue.

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I keep receiving notifications for new incoming messages, by when I click the
bubble in the notification area to see the message, a blank chat window opens.
The message is actually received correctly, since when I close the window and
open it again (by starting a new chat with the sender), the text of the message
appears in the recent log (I mean, in the chat window I've just opened).

This problem seems to happend with every account I have configured.
Protocols used are: msn, gtalk, facebook chat, yahoo, icq. I mostly
chat using the first two accounts.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 850199] Re: Scroll wheel does not work on gwibber

2012-03-22 Thread CrusaderAD
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and gwibber 3.3.93. Seems to be a random problem.
Happens probably every other time I use gwibber. Scrolling just stops
working with the wheel. I believe when it happens to me, the slider also
doesn't work, I need to page up/down or restart the program. Gwibber has
come a long way, still a few bugs, but great work so far. Hopefully it
flows a little smoother for the final release.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 954372] Re: empathy-chat crashed with SIGABRT in __malloc_assert()

2012-03-14 Thread CrusaderAD
I haven't been able to reproduce this error. It was in Unity 2D and it
may have happened when the message indicator menu was already opened and
a message was sent in, then opened. If it pops up again, I'll report
back.
