[Desktop-packages] [Bug 540751] Re: Unable to use dead keys with java and ibus

2014-01-26 Thread David Gómez
As Emmanuel says, is working on 13.10. I use ibus for Spanish (dead keys
for accents) and CJK. This bug should be closed.

Bug description:
Using latest Lucid packages, I am unable to use ^ key to generate ê
french character in every Java programs (jEdit, Netbeans, etc.).

  Typing ^ + e give just the e character.
Typing ^ + Space and nothing appears.

I've tried with Sun JDK (6u18, 6u20, 7) and the bug is still present.

I've tried to remove ibus and everything works again (I've just unset
  XMODIFIERS and GTK_IM_MODULE).

I don't know if it's an ibus bug or openjdk one.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 873710] Re: Unity-Greeter : no language selector is available

2013-11-10 Thread David Gómez
Wishlist. Yeah. Be honest please. After two years (i'm the original bug
reporter), change the state to Wishlist becomes synonym with Won't
Fix. So please be honest, tell us that this problem doesn't fit with
Canonical global plans for Unity or something like that, and change
the state to Won't Fix.

This bug doesn't happen anymore with the lastest NetworkManager version
in Precise. I've re-enabled ipv6 and everything's ok.

Here are the contents of the connection file. I disable ipv6 to avoid
the problem mentioned in this bug report. Anyway now i have a new one,
WiFi password is being reseted (not saved in the file?) after each
reboot and i have to type it each time. Before the update that caused
this bug report, all was working fine.

Bug description:
Nautilus in 11.10 doesn't associate the right application to SGF

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Install an application to open SGF, like Quarry.
  2. Check if MIME types are configured correctly with mimeopen whatever.sgf.
They are, as expected quarry is launched.
  3. In nautilus, this file type is associated to gedit. Try to associate it
again. Right button click on the file. Properties-Open with window doesn't
list quarry as an application. New nautilus version in 11.10 doesn't allow
custom command lines.
  4. No way to associate SGF files, regression from 11.04

2011-11-14 Thread David Gómez
It's listed in the context menu. But the bug i reported is that is not
listed in Properties-Open With. Older nautilus versions allowed to
define a custom command, this one doesn't. So i can't add a custom
command and cannot select the default application because is not listed.

stopping you to substitute telepathy with a message application that
works? Or is it including broken applications a new quality standard i

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 751575] Re: banshee no longer plays music gstreamer resource error NotFound

2011-08-24 Thread David Gómez
Ubuntu 11.04 here, so this bug is still quite alive. Banshee seemed to
ignore the gstreamer errors :(, so it just was doing nothing you try to
play a song.

Removing banshee.db and rebuilding the database solved the bug. At least
banshee should show some error message database corrupt, rebuild it or
something like that. But happilly ignore library errors...
