Bug description:

It seems however that the keys have been imported under gpg1 in stead

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1577198] Re: Imported gpg keys do not show up in Seahorse 3.18.0

2019-05-28 Thread Dennis Baudys
The same bug can still be observed with seahorse 3.32.1-5-g1dd5b4d6 in
Manjaro 4.19.45-1 x86_64 and Xfce 4.13 by the way. The above mentioned
workaround to import GPG public keys with:

gpg2 --import Multiple_Keys.asc

seems to work. However seahorse likes to crash when I then try to change
the owner trust of the imported GPG public keys.

I have to try this also in Ubuntu 18.04, however I don't think it makes
any difference.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1824699] Re: gnome-calendar pango critical

2019-04-29 Thread Dennis Baudys
I can confirm this bug. Same problem here with Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
(Kernel 4.18.0-18-generic #19~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP). gnome-calendar
crashes after entering a city in the calendar weather plugin for the
first time:

(gnome-calendar:12200): GcalWeatherSettings-WARNING **: 11:22:20.176: Unknown
location 'Düsseldorf' selected
Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

gnome-calendar:
  Installiert: 3.28.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1

The above mentioned workaround by Oliver Ritter seems to work to get the
calendar started again: I removed "Düsseldorf" from:

org.gnome.calendar weather-settings (true, false, 'Düsseldorf', nothing)

and voila. Just for fun I tried to enter a city name in the weather
plugin of the calendar again. And this time the calendar crashed already
when entering the german Umlaut "ü" (second letter in my city name
"Düsseldorf").

Also, removing the ~/.config/gwibber/gwibber.sqlite file, killing

would solve the problem, if the fix for bug #1058672 would be released.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1010349] Re: Evolution address book inaccessible without killing one time e-addressbook-factory

2013-02-08 Thread Dennis Baudys
I can also confirm the problem with Evolution not being able to show the

killing the /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory while Evolution is
running works. However this cannot be a permanent solution!

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS x86_64 with Linux 3.2.0-37-generic #

Does anybody know, whether the problem would be solved if I was using
Ubuntu 12.10 together with an Evolution version that is more recent than
3.2.3 (if available)?

Thank you very much!

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 959276] Re: Scrolling message in preview breaks rendering

2012-10-16 Thread Dennis Baudys
I can definitively confirm this problem with the rendering problem of
the message preview pane in evolution: No message preview content at all
when selecting an email - or an old message is displayed or visual
glitches like described above. Long multipart and HTML messages seem to
trigger it in a reproducable way.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit with kernel 3.2.0-32-generic # 51-Ubuntu
SMP Wed Sep 26 21:33:09 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and
evolution 3.2.3-0ubuntu6. Unity (3D) with compiz and NVIDIA most recent
drivers.

The workaround of starting evolution with
  LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 evolution
WORKS FINE for me, too!

So it really looks like the Unity overlay scrollbars are a BIG problem
for evolution that should be fixed.

Thanks!

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 980144] Re: not sure if it's a bug, but it is super SUPER SLOW

2012-05-06 Thread Dennis Baudys
I'd like to confirm that on Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit, latest updates up to
now.

And also VERY frustrating: The Gwibber service seems to make the whole
system (single core, 1 GB RAM) unresponsive(!) every 15 mins. (standard
update interval for Gwibber). The only service I have connected with
Gwibber is Facebook.

Gwibber is NOT usable without at least 2 CPU cores and 2 GB RAM I guess.
That's a shame. The only workaround I have at the moment is to
completely disable the Gwibber service!

Thanks for your hard work and improving things all the time. Remember: A
social service integrated in the Unity desktop should NOT make the whole
OS unresponsive so BADLY.

Kind Regards,

Dennis

In order to use Ubuntu 12.04 on a single CPU core machine with 1 GB RAM

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 148530] Re: too long string in german translation makes evolution first-time assistant too wide to fit screen

2012-04-21 Thread Dennis Baudys
Can anybody confirm this is still an issue?

** Also affects: ubuntu-translations
   Importance: Undecided

Title:
too long string in german translation makes evolution first-time
assistant too wide to fit screen

Status in Ubuntu Translations:
  New
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in “language-pack-gnome-de-base” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evolution

  The German-Translation-String for ../plugins/backup-restore/backup-
  restore.c in evolution-2.12 german po-file, makes fist-time assistant
too wide to fit screen with a 1024x768 resolution. The english
original consists of two sentences divided by a newline while the
german translation consists of one sentence without such a break. E.g.
changing the line Mails, Kalender, Aufgaben, Notizen und Adressbücher
in Mails, Kalender, Aufgaben, Notizen und Adressbücher \n would
make the dialog fit again for 1024x768 resolution.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 819994] Re: String length of items seems limited (system settings label get truncated)

2012-04-09 Thread Dennis Baudys
Is this length restriction of13 (???) chars per word now _definitively_
the length ALL the translators have to stick to with their translations?
Or is this serious cosmetic bug _going to be fixed_ or the restriction
to be expanded? I don't know whether to change the translations now or
to wait for improvement of the GUI.

There are a lot of languages (not only German, Dutch etc.) where it is
practically impossible or at least very ugly to squeeze/shorten words
like this.

In the GNOME bug tracker there seems to be _no activity_ on this bug
since 2011-04-13 (nearly one year???).

Thanks.

Status in GTK+ GUI Toolkit:
  New
Status in “gtk+3.0” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
It seems there is a limit of the chars in a setting button.

In my panel I have 'Systeeminformati', but it should show 'Systeeminformatie'.
So it looks like the 'e' got cut off.
