[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1925837]
(In reply to Pulsebot from comment #7) > Pushed by stran...@redhat.com: > https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/rev/1f8208b4e636 > [Wayland] Emulate X11 popup parentless window as a toplevel on Wayland, > r=jhorak Thanks, Martin! Does this mean bug #1628431 is also fixed? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1925837 Title: [Wayland] Sharing indicator window is not frameless Status in Mozilla Firefox: Fix Released Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I'm running updated hirsute with the firefox 87.0+build3-0ubuntu4 deb, just as it comes. This system was a fresh install of 20.10 that was then upgraded to 21.04. When I have a tab that will start using my webcam/mic, there is a new ff window that is created with these icons. The window is (more or less) minimized to fit the size of the icons (see screenshot). I can close the window by clicking the normal x, and closing this window does not interrupt my webcam/mic usage. What I normally expect is that when my webcam/mic is being used by some ff tab, the ff/webcam/mic icons are displayed constantly in the top middle of my display. --- ProblemType: Bug AddonCompatCheckDisabled: False ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu65 Architecture: amd64 BuildID: 20210318103112 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown Channel: Unavailable CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME DefaultProfileExtensions: extensions.sqlite corrupt or missing DefaultProfileIncompatibleExtensions: Unavailable (corrupt or non-existant compatibility.ini or extensions.sqlite) DefaultProfileLocales: extensions.sqlite corrupt or missing DefaultProfilePrefErrors: Unexpected character ',' before close parenthesis @ /usr/lib/firefox/omni.ja:greprefs.js:352 DefaultProfileThemes: extensions.sqlite corrupt or missing DistroRelease: Ubuntu 21.04 ForcedLayersAccel: False InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-01-04 (108 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla" - Release amd64 (20201022) IpRoute: default via 192.168.0.1 dev enp3s0 proto dhcp metric 100 10.0.3.0/24 dev lxcbr0 proto kernel scope link src 10.0.3.1 linkdown 169.254.0.0/16 dev virbr0 scope link metric 1000 linkdown 192.168.0.0/24 dev enp3s0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.0.6 metric 100 192.168.122.0/24 dev virbr0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.122.1 linkdown Package: firefox 87.0+build3-0ubuntu4 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron: TERM=screen PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.11.0-16.17-generic 5.11.12 Profile0Extensions: extensions.sqlite corrupt or missing Profile0IncompatibleExtensions: Unavailable (corrupt or non-existant compatibility.ini or extensions.sqlite) Profile0Locales: extensions.sqlite corrupt or missing Profile0PrefErrors: Unexpected character ',' before close parenthesis @ /usr/lib/firefox/omni.ja:greprefs.js:352 Profile0PrefSources: prefs.js Profile0Themes: extensions.sqlite corrupt or missing Profiles: Profile1 (Default) - LastVersion=None/None (Out of date) Profile0 - LastVersion=87.0/20210318103112 (In use) RunningIncompatibleAddons: False Tags: wayland-session hirsute Uname: Linux 5.11.0-16-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip kvm libvirt lpadmin lxd plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 03/21/2014 dmi.bios.release: 4.6 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 1402 dmi.board.asset.tag: To be filled by O.E.M. dmi.board.name: P8Z77-V LK dmi.board.vendor: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. dmi.board.version: Rev X.0x dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Asset-1234567890 dmi.chassis.type: 3 dmi.chassis.vendor: Chassis Manufacture dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr1402:bd03/21/2014:br4.6:svnSystemmanufacturer:pnSystemProductName:pvrSystemVersion:rvnASUSTeKCOMPUTERINC.:rnP8Z77-VLK:rvrRevX.0x:cvnChassisManufacture:ct3:cvrChassisVersion: dmi.product.family: To be filled by O.E.M. dmi.product.name: System Product Name dmi.product.sku: SKU dmi.product.version: System Version dmi.sys.vendor: System manufacturer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1925837/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Desktop-packages] [Bug 606365]
Does the import work when using nmcli (`nmcli connection import type openvpn file $FILENAME`)? If nmcli works, I would think this is mostly caused by Plasma NM not using the NetworkManager OpenVPN code to import configuration files (bug #396530), but implements an own buggy version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager-openvpn in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/606365 Title: unable to import config with inlined ca, cert, key or tls-auth Status in NetworkManager-OpenVPN: Fix Released Status in plasma-nm: New Status in network-manager-openvpn package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in plasma-nm package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: network-manager-openvpn-gnome So a client of mine runs an OpenVPN setup. It exported a client.ovpn file but it fails to completely import this file using the network- manager (gnome) on Ubuntu 10.04. When I import the file, it gives me the name ("client") and gateway ("vpn.example.org") on the initial screen. No other fields are populated even though the client.ovpn file also includes a user certificate, server certifikate and a private key. When I go to advanced, some (most) of the settings obviously seem to import correct, others not at all. E.g. none of the TLS settings (key and key direction) are imported. From what I understand I should be able to use this without any additional settings. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 828756] Re: getting connection is untrusted warnings
I get this error within my Enlightenment session. I originally installed Ubuntu as Bodhi, but then disabled its repositories and have since reinstalled *every* package with --force- confnew --force-confask to get rid of this issue. This did not help at all. What did help is the instruction in comment #39. Instructions for E17: * Settings Console - Applications - Desktop Environments: + Start GNOME Services on login * Settings Console - Applications - Autostart Applications: + PolicyKit Authentication Agent (this bug is also reported against p11-kit, so I figured I might enable it, even though it seems unrelated) + Certificate And Key Storage (this is probably the most important one, but I did not bother to test it alone) + Secret Storage Service + GPG Password Agent + SSH Key Agent Please note that *both* settings were necessary. Just starting the GNOME Services did not help. libfolks25: Installiert: 0.6.8-2 Kandidat:0.6.8-2 Versionstabelle: *** 0.6.8-2 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status telepathy-gabble: Installiert: 0.16.0-0ubuntu3.1 Kandidat:0.16.0-0ubuntu3.1 Versionstabelle: *** 0.16.0-0ubuntu3.1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-security/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.16.0-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages e17: Installiert: 1:0.17.5-1ppa1~precise Kandidat:1:0.17.5-1ppa1~precise Versionstabelle: *** 1:0.17.5-1ppa1~precise 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/efl/trunk/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.16.999.55225-1build1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe i386 Packages -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828756 Title: getting connection is untrusted warnings Status in “ca-certificates-java” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in “icedtea-web” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “p11-kit” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “p11-kit” source package in Oneiric: Fix Released Status in “telepathy-gabble” package in Debian: Incomplete Bug description: Since updating to Oneiric, empathy is giving me connection is untrusted warning dialogs. Why pulseaudio cannot start when I log on with Unity? When I try to start it manually it just drops this message: E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Falló el inicio del demonio. The same message when I logon: Jan 26 00:33:00 64-desktop pulseaudio[25578]: [pulseaudio] module-udev-detect.c: inotify_init1() failed: Demasiados archivos abiertos Jan 26 00:33:00 64-desktop pulseaudio[25578]: [pulseaudio] module.c: Failed to load module module-udev-detect (argument: ): initialization failed. I actually have sound, but not trough pulseaudio; the speaker icon in the system tray shows disabled and I don't have login sound, I know it is disabled by default, I enabled it, so I expect to hear login sound and have pulseaudio working. This does not seem to depend on the website being looked at. It appears randomly and is not reproducible when watching the same website again. It seems to happen only when leaving one page / loading another, but never when the page is already loaded. Sometimes Chromium does not crash, but freezes instead and has to be killed. It happens only since a few weeks (maybe 1-2 months at max), so it could be caused by an update to some library. It seems to happen only when leaving one page / loading another, but never when the page is already loaded. Sometimes Chromium does not crash, but freezes instead and has to be killed. It happens only since a few weeks (maybe 1-2 months at max), so it could be caused by an update to some library. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 382167] Re: LCD backlight flickers when adjusting it and when the system is idle
I have the same issue on Ubuntu 12.04 with KDE 4:4.8.4a-0ubuntu0.2: Sometimes the screen becomes very bright and after a while the backlight starts to flicker and then switches minimum brightness (as configured in the power management settings). Also when I use the brightness keys (Fn+Up/Dn), the backlight will often just start to flicker instead of switching to the intended brightness. Sometimes it just allows to toggle minimum/maximum brightness, but skips all steps in between. The machine is a Samsung N140 with an Intel 945GSE graphics chipset. Ubuntu 12.04 kdelibs-bin 4:4.8.4a-0ubuntu0.2 xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.17.0-1ubuntu4.1 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382167 Title: LCD backlight flickers when adjusting it and when the system is idle Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager Since I installed Intrepid, adjusting the LCD brightness is always an annoying experience on my Acer 5720, both on AC power and on battery power. If I increase or decrease the brightness by one step with the Fn+left/Fn+right one of the following will randomly happen: - changing the brightness (as expected); - resetting the brightness to the minimum; - the brightness rapidly goes to the minimum, then to the desired amount. This may happen up to 2-3 times in a row, leading to an annoying short flicker. With the +/- buttons from the Brightness applet, the brightness seems to go to the minimum, then goes back, then to the minimum again, then to the new value. During these operations (which last about half a second), the applet is unresponsive, i.e. the slider changes its position only after it finished. Trying to drag the slider to the desired value, it behaves like I was pressing the +/- buttons many times, therefore the brightness flickers and slowly changes for some seconds. Sometimes it directly reaches the final value, sometimes it goes back for a certain amount then goes to the final values, sometimes it stops in the middle. All of this is VERY annoying. Moreover, I see some flicker happening some time after I don't move the mouse or press any key (always returning to the current brightness) and/or when I start again to use keyboard or the mouse. I repeat: before using Ubuntu 9.04, everything worked almost fine. The cause may be a conflict between gnome-power-manager and some other piece of software (kernel? brightness applet?), therefore I'm filing this to the g-p-m package.
