oh okay. I actually updated from ubuntu 18.04 to 19.04 in the expectation that the bug disappears. I do not have enough time now for trying to figure out this issue due to some academic deadline. But I will follow the steps as soon as the bug happens again in version 19.04 though. Thank you very much! Hello Daniel, thank you for the help. The freezing has just happened again, I enter tty, used the command ps -A | grep gnome , and I believe that the ID is the gnome-shell associated to the tty2 because ctrl+alt+f2 is my interface shortcut. I ran the apport command and with the ID and it give me some options, on of which is to send the report. There was no option to generate a link. I sent the report by pressing s but I am not sure where the report when to and how you could locate it.
