[Desktop-packages] [Bug 927243] Re: Search bar disappears when you stick the window to the side of the screen
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 876653 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876653 I'm slightly confused by the information you have given above Matthew, In my experience First, Compiz resizes a window to less than its minimum width if you semi-maximize it on the left, but not if you semi- maximize it on the right. is invalid for me, it happens on both sides. Secondly in my experience USC hides its search field even when at its proper minimum width. is not true for me either. If neither of these things happen in my case, are you sure that this is actually the same bug? I'm only questioning this in hopes that it may provide you with more information on the other issues as well. ** Attachment added: semi-maximized on the right https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/927243/+attachment/3005067/+files/Screenshot%20at%202012-04-04%2015%3A00%3A57.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to software-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/927243 Title: Search bar disappears when you stick the window to the side of the screen Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: To reproduce: 1. Using a lower resolution monitor, take your window, drag it to one side of the screen, or the other, so that it sticks/pins to the side of your screen. You will now notice that the search bar is missing, it is my thoughts that this is happening because when you pin the window to the side of the screen it makes it smaller than it is supposed to go. screenshot: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software- center/+bug/927243/+attachment/2717132/+files/software%20center%20bug.png This is because Compiz is forcing the window to be smaller than the minimum software center window size. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 959780] Re: Password should be encrypted in gnome keyring
I'm sorry for the confusion, i misinterpreted the way Canonical had set up Ubuntu One, they don't actually store passwords, they use OAuth tokens and SSO, thereby storing a private token on your computer. Again, i apologize for the mistake, and am marking this as an invalid bug. ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/959780 Title: Password should be encrypted in gnome keyring Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Currently Empathy stores the passwords for your account in plain text inside gnome key-ring. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 876290] Re: Ctrl+Alt+Del mapped to log out dialogue
This may not be so much a shortcut bug, as a bug between the development of the log out/shutdown script. If you go to your menu click more apps, filter to system apps, and look through your list of installed apps you will find that log out and shut down are two different applications(well the way they treat them at least). They can not be one dialog. But now that you do mention it, it is weird that they would create this application in this way. A quick fix for you, would be to go to System Settings - Keyboard - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts then make a new shortcut called shutdown and in the line asking for the command enter /usr/lib/indicator-session/gtk-logout-helper -s without the quotes, then set your shortcut to what ever you desire hope this helps for now -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876290 Title: Ctrl+Alt+Del mapped to log out dialogue Status in The Session Menu: New Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric stable Ctrl+Alt+Del used to be the keymapping for offering Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, Hibernate, etc, with the focus on Shutdown. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 898252] Re: Keyboard-Settings - Shortcuts - Navigation - Switch windows of an application shows disabled
I'm not quite sure i understand what your asking in the first part there. However to be honest, i believe that i don't really know enough to be able to be a big help here at the moment unfortunately. I am willing to learn, and help where ever i can tho. My main problem is finding a place to start. So to answer your question accurately, i am interested, however i don't see myself as being a big help here at the moment, so i will have to sit this one out.
