Matching subscriptions: dp-unity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962382 Title: Application menu only shows on primary monitor in a dual monitor setup Status in Unity: Fix Released Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: I have a dual screen setup. Left is primary - 1600x900 and right is secondary - 1920x1080 When I have an app in the primary (left) window all works as expected. A few updates ago, I could see the top panel (with the time, etc) on both screens. Which was nice. That is no longer happening. but that isn;t the focus of this bug. Now when I have an app in the secondary screen, in both normal and maximised states, there is no application menu (global menu thing) available. I have to move the window to the primary screen then see the app menu select what I want and move it back to the secondary screen. Problem with all apps that have a need for those menus. You gotta fix this :D! lp:845212 is a duplicate but that seems to be marked fixed for a very similar problem. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 841085] Re: Log File Viewer empty
@Nick Rundy, I guess the solution would be a preferences window of some sort that allows you to select which ones you don't want to see. But since this logs disappearing behaviour was NOT intentional and only cropped up in oneiric while being fine in the rest it is still a bug. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 881344] [NEW] Stop resolving symbolic links to folder paths so that profiles can be migrated easily
Public bug reported: I have a habit of storing my browser, thunderbird profiles in my Dropbox folder so that they're synced across PCs. I am sure many others have similar arrangements. Now linking a folder in .thunderbird e.g. sadffasf.default works to an extent. what happens inside thunderbird is that if the folder has been linked then the link is resolved, ruling out the point of a symbolic link. Now next time you change the location and relink the folder, the original folder preferences still remain since they were resolved and it makes the migration a hassle. It happens for each email account that is setup as well as the local folders account. So the solution would be to prevent thunderbird from resolving the link. It still has not been fixed. Sad. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 823221 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/823221 ** Summary changed: - Change the Ctrl+del key back to Del and use notifications instead + Change the Ctrl+del shortcut back to Del and use notifications instead -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/833352 Title: Change the Ctrl+del shortcut back to Del and use notifications instead Status in Nautilus: New Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Please, the title of this bug is a serious title while it can offend the Gnome designer. Yet we can no more use the Del key to delete a file on our desktop, we have to press Ctrl + Del to do so, and close to it we have also Shift+ Del to definitely delete a file from our Drive. We could so simply mistake the two shortcut keys . And now Worse, we no more are able to do Ctrl + C and then Ctrl + V ! please , Ubuntu dev, don't let us fall out. We need a patch. If I could I would make a patch myself. just because Gnome decided to remove those shortcut doesn't mean it is a good design. We need a patch, please.
