[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1401207] Re: No 'Select-by-word characters' property

2015-05-20 Thread Gediminas Paulauskas
Word char settings have been resurrected in gnome-terminal 3.16 / vte
0.40

I have compiled vte2.91 version 0.40 and colon (:) is no longer a word
char, as was set before.

  when the bars (applets-don

Status in “light-themes” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I have a MSI laptop but I did not have this bug on ubuntu 12.04. This bug
appears even when trying ubuntu without installing and it is most visible on
ambiance theme. It also appears when positioning the mouse cursor on volume
apllet and changing volume by scrolling and also by moving over and outside the
volume status bar when still present.
  I observed that sometimes there is a shadow effect of of the volume status
bar applet witch tends to step into the pannel area.
  All this happen with brightness slider as well

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 279158] Re: gnome-spell a redundant dependency of ubuntu-desktop

2011-11-16 Thread Gediminas Paulauskas
Fixed long ago:

ubuntu-meta (1.135) jaunty; urgency=low

  * Refreshed dependencies
  * Added indicator-messages to desktop-recommends [hppa]
  * Removed gnome-spell from desktop
  * Removed powernowd from desktop-recommends

** Changed in: ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu)
   Status: Confirmed = Fix Released

Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “ubuntu-meta” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  ubuntu-desktop depends on gnome-spell, yet no app is using it.

  The only former user was evolution, but since 2.23.1 it switched to
  libgtkhtml-editor which provides spelling via libenchant, and does not
  use gnome-spell at all.

  So dependency should be removed from ubuntu-desktop, and suggests
  removed from evolution.
