This bug appears even when trying ubuntu without installing and it is most visible on ambiance theme. It also appears when positioning the mouse cursor on volume apllet and changing volume by scrolling and also by moving over and outside the volume status bar when still present. The only former user was evolution, but since 2.23.1 it switched to libgtkhtml-editor which provides spelling via libenchant, and does not use gnome-spell at all.
