[Desktop-packages] [Bug 2018538] Re: All PDFs when printed come out mirror image

2023-05-18 Thread Hugo Squelch
In the time being, I've ended up having to use
[cpdf](https://github.com/coherentgraphics/cpdf-binaries) to make a
mirrored copy of the PDF I want to print. It's not ideal, but at least
I can print PDFs I can read them without looking at it through a mirror.

The command I use to flip them is ` ./cpdf -i input.pdf -hflip -o
out.pdf `

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Since updating to Ubuntu 23.04. Whenever I try to print a PDF

If I enable printing mirror image in the settings, every other page

print, so one side is normal and the other side becomes mirror image
  when I do this).

I'm trying to print to a HP Colour LaserJet CP2025dn

I would like to add, that waiting for file upload window to open is
slower than file download, I think

Bug description:
When you try to upload/download a file in an application (e.g.

Often times, if I try to search for a file in it, I have to wait 10 or

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1998099] [NEW] gnome-shell doesn't recognise Inhibit shortcuts permission

2022-11-28 Thread Hugo Squelch
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1997481 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1997481

Public bug reported:

When trying to use a program that tries to make use of the `Inhibit
Shortcuts` permission, for example a virtual machine program like virt-
manager, gnome-shell ignores the permission and the shortcuts you press
which should be inhibited/changed to do something else by the program,
activate the gnome-shell's system shortcut instead.

This means that when I am trying to alt+tab inside my virtual machine,
it instead alt tabs to a different window on my host rather than on my
guest OS.

I believe this problem is fixed on gnome-shell 43.1. Could you please
update gnome-shell43.1 to fix this issue.

System Info:
OS Name: Ubuntu 22.10
GNOME Version 43.0
Windowing System: Wayland
Gnome Shell: 43.0

 Status: New
