[Desktop-packages] [Bug 839188] Re: Tomboy sync should not freeze note window
upstream defect https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695947 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #695947 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695947 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to tomboy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/839188 Title: Tomboy sync should not freeze note window Status in “tomboy” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: You can call it a bug, a design flaw, or even a feature request. But the window freeze on sync can be really annoying. When your notes are synced, any open notes become locked until the sync is complete. I think this is by design, to prevent a sync from going bad. (Is that even possible?) But, especially when the network is slow or the server is rather busy, the notes are locked for annoying long periods of time.(Every %d minutes sync interval.) I suggest, if this lock is necessary at all, that the synchronization functionality creates temporary copies of notes to sync in the background, so you can continue using your notes while sync is happening. This bug can be closed since the fix has been released right? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to tomboy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019256 Title: Tomboy should trim trailing "/" in WebSyncPreferencesWidget Status in Tomboy: Fix Released Status in “tomboy” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Ubuntu One has recently switched to a more strict path checking and it turns out that https://one.ubuntu.com/notes/ is no longer a valid URL because Tomboy tries to access https://one.ubuntu.com/notes//api/1.0. The code in OnAuthButtonClicked should trim the trailing slash for the server the same way the actual sync code does.
