[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1528043] [NEW] gvfsd samba doesn't work well with Windows under certain circumstances

2015-12-20 Thread Jason Straight
Public bug reported:

When accessing shares that have files that aren't completely accessible
to the logged in user gfvs will error, not show some files/folders, or
not show any files/folders.

Accessing folders such as C:/, C:/Users, or an actual users folder will
cause the error.

available files. If you refresh {f5} a few times you'll see all
different behaviours.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1436330] [NEW] Network Manager doesn't set metric for local networks any more, causing connection issues

2015-03-25 Thread Jason Straight
Public bug reported:

With Vivid, having two connections to the same network subnet is
unstable due to missing metrics for local networks.

Example:

Being connected to 192.168.1.0/24 via both wired and wireless will cause
connectivity issues as sent packets hop between the two interfaces.

It used to be that this wasn't an issue. I would go between work and
home and plug in and my machine would automatically connect to wireless
and it would use the lower metric ethernet interface for all
communications, while the wlan interface would remain connected but
unused.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1300792] Re: libreoffice toolbar icons large and ugly - no matter what theme

2014-04-04 Thread Jason Straight
Thanks for the response.

I've only noticed it with libreoffice.

I run KDE. In my testing I've removed the kde additions for libreoffice,
rm'ed ~/.gtk*, ~/.config/libreoffice, tried changing the theme settings
in kde's gtk settings, and eventually set up a brand new user and opened
libreoffice with the same results.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1300792] Re: libreoffice toolbar icons large and ugly - no matter what theme

2014-04-04 Thread Jason Straight
I want to say it worked prior to last update. But I can't be certain.

I do have a 1080p screen, but my font DPI is not fixed. It is unchecked
in KDE settings.

Strange that I would have it with a newly created user account.

Yeah. I did that it worked for that.

Thanks.

I may have another bug to make a report on. With the kde extensions for
libreoffice installed it won't paint/fill the window after loading, and
locks up.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 978120] Re: Toshiba Estudio 230 printer driver bug

2014-03-27 Thread Jason Straight
Thanks to all of you for putting the effort in. I had been away for a
while and came back the other day to a flurry of activity on this after
nearly forgetting about it.

I doubt it'll make any difference as well, but I work for a Toshiba
authorized dealer and will also report it. This problem has existed in
all e-Studio generations.

For the most part, I get around it by using generic PCL drivers, but
that's no good for some of the more advanced features.
