Title:
  apt-get libmagick++-6.q16-6v6 depend missing

Status in inkscape package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, apt update-ed

When installing inkscape with apt install inkscape, the installation
  fails complaining on missing depends:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
inkscape : Depends: libmagick++-6.q16-6v6 (>= 8:6.9.2.3) but it is not
installable
  Recommends: libwmf-bin
  Recommends: perlmagick
Recommends: python-lxml but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: python-numpy but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: python-scour but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: python-uniconvertor but it is not going to be
installed

It seems that libmagick++-6.q16-6v6 was removed from 17.04 but
  inkscape package is not updated

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1639527] Re: inkscape_0.91.0+51~ubuntu16.10.1 from ppa:inkscape.dev/stable is not installable

2016-11-23 Thread Jurgen Gaeremyn
I have installed the Stable Inkscape PPA

Could it be as simple as to create a symlink from libpoppler61 to
libpoppler58 as a temporary workaround?

Ubuntu 16.10 has no libpoppler58 in the repository. There is
  libpoppler61 instead.

I've been told that Ubuntu 16.04 has no libpoppler61, so both versions
  should be allowed:
