Bug description:
  I have been adding "image/x-xpixmap;image/x-canon-cr2;image/x-adobe-

  "/usr/share/thumbnailers/gdk-pixbuf-thumbnailer.thumbnailer" since
Ubuntu 18.10 for the thumbnailer to create the thumbnails primarily
for the ".CR2" raw files from my Canon 77D and 80D cameras.

Unfortunately I have to report that as of Ubuntu 19.10 this solution doesn’t
work on my machine anymore.
The thumbnailer tries to create the thumbnails but fails and instead creates
1 pixel png images that it all puts in
"~/.cache/thumbnails/fail/gnome-thumbnail-factory".

Is there any solution? Should I test something?

I've attached a CR2 photo of mine that anyone can use for testing.

Title:
gdk-pixbuf-thumbnailer fails to create thumbnails for CR2 100% of the
  time.

Status in gdk-pixbuf package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I have been adding "image/x-xpixmap;image/x-canon-cr2;image/x-adobe-
dng" to the end of the line starting with "MimeType=" in the file

I've also created a bug report on gnome gitlab here:
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-desktop/issues/133

Maybe it shouldn't be included in 19.04 until it's fixed?

removing gstreamer1.0-vaapi did the trick but I don't think a user
should be expected to do that on every new installation.

I'm also affected by this bug. I've tried many different things that I
described in another bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer1.0/+bug/1818382

For me it's not the case with the amd drivers. The same bug is there on
a clean install of Ubuntu too.

After figuring out how to play videos with full hardware accelerated

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1646859] [NEW] Wifi not working after suspend on 16.10

2016-12-02 Thread Kristijan Žic
Public bug reported:

After waking from suspend, nm doesn't automatically connect to WiFi,
instead nm indicator is showing RJ45 icon like it's connected on wired
network but it's not. NM indicator panel doesn't show any WiFi networks
and there is no connection. restarting the service or stopping the WiFi
antenna using keyboard shortcut don't fix the problem. Only relogging
the account or restart fixes the issue.

OS: Ubuntu 16.10
Device: DELL Inspiron 13" 7000

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided

  3) When I close the laptop's lid and open, the wifi should reconnect
  4) Wifi does not reconnect. It says "Wi-Fi networks" - "disconnected" when I
left-click on NM icon in notif area. However the context menu (right-click) has
items "Enable networking" and "Enable Wi-Fi" both with checkmarks.

  Workarounds:
switch off - on the physical switch on laptop OR two times go and select
"Enable networking" in the NM context menu (after first time it removes
checkmark and the "Enable Wi-Fi" item - visual feedback of being disabled).

Yes, it is mp3. I added a track to the attachment with which I find
this crackle to be pronounced the most although it is present in every
track.
