[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1315020]
(In reply to Robert Kaiser (:ka...@mozilla.com) from comment #94) From how I read the recent comment, Linux is probably not fixed yet, so let's keep this open (if I'm wrong, please resolve again). Comment 92 covers linux - also I'll be approving this for mozilla- release uplift as we have merged already. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315020 Title: PDF.js prints blank pages Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: Fix Released Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: The recent upgrade to 29.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 (on Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS) cause printing from PDF.js to emit essentially blank output (the spooled files are very small, and contain showpage directives with no page content, i.e., blank pages come out of the printer). Matt - I'm setting the FF30 back to 'affected'. Do you have time to look into this today/early Monday morning to see if there's a fix for those platforms? Having Windows work does help the majority of users, but we'll certainly hear it if Mac/Linux users can't print pdfs so anything that can be done to fix this before our final RC will be considered. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315020 Title: PDF.js prints blank pages Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: Confirmed Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: The recent upgrade to 29.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 (on Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS) cause printing from PDF.js to emit essentially blank output (the spooled files are very small, and contain showpage directives with no page content, i.e., blank pages come out of the printer). relnoted as part of Firefox search touchpoints have been consolidated behind a single search default preference. Start with a clean Firefox profile 2. Notice the default search provider is Yahoo in the search box (just to the right of the address bar) 3. Select some text on a page, right click on the selection and notice the item Search Yahoo for YourText 4. Set the search provider to Google in the search box from the drop- down menu 5. Select some text on a page, right click on the selection and notice the item Search Google for YourText 6. Go to View - Toolbars - Customize and drag the search box out of the toolbar into the customization window 7. Select some text on a page, right click on the selection and notice the item Search Yahoo for YourText (should be Google still) 8. Go to View - Toolbars - Customize and drag the search box into your toolbar, to the right of the address bar 9. Notice Google is selected as default search provider 10. Select some text on a page, right click on the selection and notice the item Search Google for YourText This is due to Firefox using the user-set engine when the search bar is present, but using the default engine (which cannot be changed by the user), when the search bar is removed.
