[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1735561] [NEW] Segfault in libglib-2.0.so caused by rhythmbox
Public bug reported: Rhythmbox just segfaults as it runs normally (paused) in the background. Happened only once so far. However, I would like to report it because it may also be a security issue. I added the crash dump. dmesg output: --- rhythmbox[4608]: segfault at 5556 ip 7ff002a89190 sp 7ffc5717ef90 error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.5200.0[7ff002a5b000+111000] --- ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.04 Package: rhythmbox 3.4.1-2ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.10.0-40.44-generic 4.10.17 Uname: Linux 4.10.0-40-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.4-0ubuntu4.8 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Thu Nov 30 22:25:26 2017 EcryptfsInUse: Yes ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rhythmbox InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-04-23 (586 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 16.04 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20160420.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=de_DE PATH=(custom, user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: rhythmbox UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to zesty on 2017-04-14 (230 days ago) ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug zesty ** Attachment added: "crash dump" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1735561/+attachment/5016743/+files/_usr_bin_rhythmbox.1000.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1735561 Title: Segfault in libglib-2.0.so caused by rhythmbox Status in rhythmbox package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Rhythmbox just segfaults as it runs normally (paused) in the background. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1641380] Re: chromium-browser: ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED for Symantec certs
Installed 55.0.2883.75-0ubuntu0.16.10.1327 now. Works so far but what surprises me is the following error on Twitch now: "No supported video backend avaiable; Flash is not installed" I could use Twitch before without problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to chromium-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1641380 Title: chromium-browser: ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED for Symantec certs Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: Chromium browser in xenial no longer trusts Symantec issued certificates. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1641380] Re: chromium-browser: ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED for Symantec certs
Thank you for your quick response. I just add this to my system: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-chromium-builds/stage The certificate error now has disappeared. But also with the 54.0.2840.100-0ubuntu0.16.10.1326 version I can't watch videos on Twitch with Chromium. I only see a message that a Plug- In can't be loaded. Maybe another issue. Amazon.com seems to crash. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1641380] Re: chromium-browser: ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED for Symantec certs
The last upgrades on my system (16.10): liboxideqt-qmlplugin:amd64 (1.18.5-0ubuntu0.16.10.1, 1.19.4-0ubuntu0.16.10.1), liboxideqtquick0:amd64 (1.18.5-0ubuntu0.16.10.1, 1.19.4-0ubuntu0.16.10.1), liboxideqtcore0:amd64 (1.18.5-0ubuntu0.16.10.1, 1.19.4-0ubuntu0.16.10.1), oxideqt-codecs-extra:amd64 (1.18.5-0ubuntu0.16.10.1, 1.19.4-0ubuntu0.16.10.1) After this the certificate errors occurred. Coincidence? Also every second YouTube video fails now. Could that be related with the certificate error? Same here. Yesterday everything was fine.
