[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1574667] Re: Mouse pointer occasionally jumps to the bottom-left corner

2017-12-15 Thread Omk
I have this same issue on Dell XPS 13.
Mouse pointer jumps intermittently to the lower left corner. When typing, the
cursor occasionally jumps to the middle of the sentence. And occasionally the
mouse pointer just freezes, and does not move at all using the trackpad, unless
I simultaneously click and hold down the button, while dragging the pointer
around with the trackpad. Sometimes Alt+TAB to another program may revive the
mouse, and at others, have to close the lid, suspend and awake to re-activate
the mouse. Very annoying, making the laptop practically unusable.

2014-07-02 Thread Omk
I'm using Gnome CLASSIC

** Description changed:

I have a strange issue with Libre Office

I have my Libre running in the Workspace 2, with multiple documents and
spreadsheets. There switching between them works fine. But if I swich to
Workspace 1, where I have my web browser running, I see all the Writer
instances in the application switcher panel. Also, if I want to Alt+Tab
to next program while in Workspace 1, I see all the Writer instances in
the Switcher dialog listed before the applications that are in Workspace
  1. And then have to press Alt+Tab repeatedly to get into the window
which I want. If I Alt+Tab to a Writer window, nothing happens.

This is annoying, since my web browsing workspace get cluttered with
useless Writer instances, which should show only in worskpace 2.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1336270] [NEW] View keyboard resolution too small in gkbd-keyboard-display

2014-07-01 Thread Omk
Public bug reported:

When selecting Keyboard Layout Chart in Gnome, or running gkbd-
keyboard-display, the resulting view is by default displayed too small.
The window does not have Maximize handle, but can be enlarged by
pulling the handle. Even when made to fill the full laptop screen, the
chart does not cover the whole screen, but there are wide grey margins
on both left and right edges.

This is problematic specially when using some specific asian language
layout, such as bengoli, tamil or devanagari (indian) layouts, where
certain symbols look very similar but have minor differences.

- The view should have Maximize button
- The gray margins should be smaller
- Zoom in / out button would be useful
- Magnifying glass which one could hover over the keys would be also practical
