[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1902976] Re: [Acer Aspire E5-432] After boot pulseaudio needs to be restarted

2020-11-04 Thread Pablo Pedrotti
Uninstalling pipewire fixed the issue. Now both the speakers and the
microphone work properly.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1902580] Re: [Asus ZenBook UX425IA] No sound (Dummy Output) unless I reinstall pulseaudio after every reboot.

2020-11-02 Thread Pablo Pedrotti
I also has this issue of losing audio and having to reinstall pulseaudio
to get it back to work. The latest pulseaudio update
(1:13.99.2-1ubuntu2) did not seem to solve the issue.

Title:
[Asus ZenBook UX425IA] No sound (Dummy Output) unless I reinstall
  pulseaudio after every reboot.

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
My Xubuntu 20.10 installation has no sound (Dummy Output) unless I
  reinstall pulseaudio after every reboot.

pulseaudio does survive a suspend. Just a hard reset or power cycle
  causes it to fail.

  How I re-install pulseaudio:

  sudo apt-get install --reinstall pulseaudio

I have tried just killing the pulseaudio service, and letting it
restart on it's own. It restarts, but no audio. Reinstalling seems to
  do the trick though.

  Thank You,
  Jeff
