I have the same issue. I installed it on 20.10 but it didn't change anything. there was not any problem on 20.04 version. It happened after updating to 20.10.

Drag the new file from the desktop into the nautilus (Files) window. The shell should not become unresponsive. Also, the drag is expected to fail and snap back. That's a different issue (bug 1813441) not being fixed here. [Where problems could occur] An extension with syntax errors may fail to load leaving the user with reduced shell functionality.
