[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1721421] [NEW] gnome-terminal crashes when setting shortcuts in preferences

2017-10-04 Thread Ravil
Public bug reported:

Tried to set a custom shortcuts for the gnome-terminal in ubuntu 17.10 beta 2.
Set "open a new tab" on "shift+arrow down", got a crash in about a second.
Can reproduce every time after changing a keyboard shortcut there (tried to set
shift+arrow left/right for tab switching etc, maybe that is somehow related).

dmesg shows this error after:
[ 72.078380] gnome-terminal-[1458]: segfault at 7001e ip 7fc1786a77fe
sp 7ffddc325128 error 4 in libgobject-2.0.so.0.5400.0[7fc178672000+52000]

ubuntu-bug doesn't launch automatically for some reason (even though
/etc/defaults/apport is enabled), had to run the tool myself, hope it
has all the info needed, if not please tell I'll provide any additional
info needed.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.

2013-10-19 Thread Ravil
I don't understand how come this bug was affecting multiple users even
in beta version (in _August_, for the Lord sake!), and still no solution
was present and release was launched? I think this is an example of very
poor management.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 885730] Re: keyboard layout indicator reacts incorrectly

2012-04-01 Thread Ravil
I am use ubuntu studio 12.04 beta2 and I found same bug. Or may be
similar. I am not so expiriensed, the core is XFCE4. I could not find
the method of configure keyboard layout switch at all. So, Alt+Shift is
default and temporary. And randomly the sequence of layout changed also.
And I have not yet and do not use compiz.

Bug description:
  Hi there,

there are few bug reports similar to this one but from their
description I feel like this is a little different.

I use three different keyboard layouts, switching between them with
shortcut and having Allow different layouts for individual windows
option enabled. In this configuration layout switch should be
processed when shortcut is triggered or when I switch to another
window. Moreover to switch layout means two things. Firstly it means
to switch keyboard mappings themself and secondly to change what
  layout indicator shows.

The problem itself: mappings which is used is often not the same as
indicator shows. I experimented a little to find out what is wrong and
now I see that the mistake is in processing switch-window event which
always changes mappings used but doesn't refresh what indicator is
  showing...

Sometimes it's quite annoying as nearly all bugs reported here :)
This is my first bug report ever so correct me or reguest mroe info if
  I have fogotten something.
