[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1859289] [NEW] network-manager keeps asking for wifi password can't connect to any wifi

2020-01-11 Thread Rip
Public bug reported:

network-manager keeps asking for wifi password can't connect to any wifi

I've experienced this problem since last month on the current kernel and
the one before that. The only solution I could find through trial and
error is to switch to a non-default kernel (like lowlatency) but that of
course breaks a bunch of other stuff. Also, network USB tethering won't
work on the generic kernel for some reason, and again a non-default
kernel solves the issue.

A google search for "ubuntu keeps asking for wifi password" shows that
this problem is quite common. Hopefully this will get fixed cause if you
can't use wifi you can't use your computer.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1847675] Re: Lenovo thinkpad T440s Trackpoint doesn't work properly

2019-10-11 Thread Rip
I don't know if these are related:

bug/1836237
bug/1847829

(probably not, but it's possible that some touchpad drivers are just
bad. Note that the first one affects every input device, including any
mouse you're using. Inputs stop working so often that I have a hotkey to
disable/enable them - this gets them working again. Otherwise I just
wouldn't be able to use the computer).

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1847829] [NEW] Three finger tap to middle click stopped working

2019-10-11 Thread Rip
Public bug reported:

I haven't expereinced this before, though a google search shows
complaints from at least 2016.

Three fingers results in a right-click now for whatever reason. I have
the appropriate settings enabled in KDE (I haven't changed them).

Middle click works sometimes after restarting the device via xinput, but
this is very rare.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1836237] [NEW] Left click doesn't work after resume from suspend

2019-07-11 Thread Rip
Public bug reported:

I am using latest KDE, but I've observed it on Gnome too (on PopOS
18.04, based on Ubuntu). Probably a core bug in the libinput driver. I
have to xinput enable/disable my mouse every time I resume from suspend.

This bug is about 2 years old:

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1824262] [NEW] Inconsistent active window shadows between Server and Client-side decorations in tiled state

2019-04-10 Thread Rip
Public bug reported:

Illustration can be found here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/issues/553

In tiled state, the active CSD casts a show, while the active server-
side decoration does it. Makes it hard to tell which window is active.

(Not sure if worth fixing, giving the fact that consistent shadows will
never be possible anyway, if CSDs become the norm across toolkits).

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.04
Package: mutter 3.32.0-1ubuntu2
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.0.0-8.9-generic 5.0.1
Uname: Linux 5.0.0-8-generic x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.20.10-0ubuntu26

UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)
