[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1676547] Re: No network connectivity after upgrade from 16.04 to 16.10

2017-04-09 Thread Skewray
Any suggestions on how those of us affected by this can retroactively
fix our systems? I am using "sudo dhclient p1p1" after every boot to get
the ethernet up, but some programs such as "evolution" still do not have
internet access.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1497613] Re: cannot set default printer

2015-09-24 Thread Skewray
It does fix the problem. The bug still exists: lpadmin is unable to
change the default printer because it is either unable to alter
~/.cups/lpoptions, or it does not report an error when it fails.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1316181] [NEW] Evolution only checks for new IMAP+ mail on start

2014-05-05 Thread Skewray
Public bug reported:

This is new behaviour as of upgrade to Tahr. IMAP+ inbox summary

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1070204] Re: Mime info files include -no-oosplash option which no longer exists

2012-11-24 Thread Skewray
I implemented the fix above, but it did not solve the issue for the mail
reader 'mutt'. -no-oosplash must be lurking elsewhere as well.

Title:
  Mime info files include -no-oosplash option which no longer exists

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal), libreoffice 1:3.6.2~rc2-0ubuntu3

  In /usr/lib/mime/packages/libreoffice-{calc,draw,impress,math,writer}
  there are entries describing the various mime types LibreOffice can
  handle and how. (These are used to generate /etc/mailcap). In each of
  those files the command-line option -no-oosplash is included, which
  no longer seems to exist:

  $ libreoffice -no-oosplash
  Unknown option -no-oosplash

  LibreOffice doesn't ignore this and will fail to start.

  Replacing -no-oosplash with --nologo and running sudo update-
  mime works fine for me.

  In the source these files are debian/libreoffice-*.mime

  Thanks!
