[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1432584] [NEW] With a light background, white text is unreadable

Public bug reported:

When the desktop background is set to a light colour (close to white)
the text on the greeter becomes unreadable. I have attached a screenshot
showing 3 users are above the highlighted user with their names are not
readable (plus a bonus kitten).

$ lsb_release -rd

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1337743] [NEW] Default printer driver not working Brother HL 2142

Public bug reported:

Same as bug 768727 (link below) but affecting the HL 2142 - i.e. prints
infinite blank pages instead of requested job.

The same fix works too - i.e. choosing the Foomatic/hl1250 variant of
the driver fixed the problem.
