[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1337750] [NEW] Nautilus crashed when deleting a file from the desktop

2014-07-04 Thread Steve Pearce
Public bug reported:

This is not the first time I've encountered this bug, but it's also not
easy to reproduce. Occasionally when working with files on the desktop,
Nautilus will crash. Just now I deleted an image and a folder and
Nautilus died, which took the desktop view with it.

I've added information with apport-bug -w, which I believe is
appropriate. Please let me know if you need anything else.

I also experience this issue frequently with other Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
systems.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1123394] [NEW] Highlight current line option doesn't work for the default Classic and Tango themes

2013-02-12 Thread Steve Pearce
Public bug reported:

Using a fresh install of 13.04 with latest updates on a Thinkpad T410.

stevepdp@glitch:~$ apt-cache policy gedit
gedit:
  Installed: 3.6.2-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.6.2-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.6.2-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I've attached a screenshot demonstrating the feature not working with
the default Classic theme. It gives the false impression that the
current-line feature doesn't work, where infact it does if a
configuration like,

style name=current-linebackground=#EEF6FF/

is written to /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/styles/classic.xml

This also effects the Tango theme.
