For others who end up here unable to activate Livepatch because of this bug, here is how you can activate it from the command line: 1. sudo snap install canonical-livepatch 2. go to https://auth.livepatch.canonical.com and generate a token. 3. sudo canonical-livepatch enable and you're done. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-online-accounts in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868732 Title: Single Sign-on dialogue has no [OK] button Status in gnome-online-accounts package in Ubuntu: New Status in unity-control-center package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: 1. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 912702] Re: [MASTER] Endlessly many Wireless Network Authentication Required dialogs put up
I had this problem last night. The cause in my case was that I changed the network password from another machine, and the machine that the problem was on was left on all night. When I got to it in the morning there were many dozens of Wifi network identification required dialogue windows open, which indeed won't go away very quickly. nm- applet is using a whole core all to itself, and not doing a lot. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 988290] Re: Resolution change with KVM switch on Precise
This is still happening in 13.10, but there is a difference: before 13.10 one of the ways to get back to the right resolution was to start 'System Settings', and then start 'Displays'. That would fix the resolution (without having to click on 'Apply'). Since 13.10 just starting 'System Settings' is enough, no need to go to 'Displays'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/988290 Title: Resolution change with KVM switch on Precise Status in GNOME Screensaver: New Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have a machine that shares monitor, keyboard and mouse with a second machine via a standard KVM-Switch (USB/VGA). After updating to precise beta yesterday, I noticed that, after having worked with the other machine for a while and switching back to the precise machine, screen resolution has changed to 800x600. Just opening Monitors from gnome- system-settings restores the original resolution of 1280x1024, you don't need to change anything. This is reproducible, if you switch away from the machine long enough (I guess until the screensaver gets invoked) resolution will be changed when you come back. This was not the case with oneiric. Is there some way to disable this behaviour?
