This can be achieved when using a standard openvpn config file by adding the lines: script-security 2 up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf In Network-manager there seems to be no option to run connection specific scripts and the DNS data from the server is ignored. I have the same issue on Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 LTS, Chromium 34.0.1847.116. Keyboard shortcuts work fine. Cursor is blinking but still I cannot input any text neither on the address field nor on any other text field. And find a site that you input some text into like indeed.com or some others. Then you hit the keys on the keyboard but no text is seen onscreen. I expected the text to be entering into chroumium like it is on any other browser. And for the text to be entered into the browser and transfered ot the webpage I am submitting it to. Instead it did not show up and indeed.com thought I did not enter anything even though I pressed several keys on my keyboard.
