[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1459143] Re: Complete system freeze upon switching WiFi networks
I also am encountering this bug on my XPS 13 9343. It happens once or twice a week. I have to force a reboot in order to reconnect to a new network without crashing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1459143 Title: Complete system freeze upon switching WiFi networks Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Occasionally when I am manually switching from one WiFi network to another through the Indicator applet, the entire system freezes completely—neither the laptop's own keyboard and trackpad nor any USB devices produce any effect. The only way to resolve the situation is then to force a power down, which has caused me to lose data on several occasions. This started occurring on Xubuntu 15.04; I have not had any similar bugs on previous iterations of Xubuntu or other Ubuntu variants. It seems to happen when I am switching from an unsecured to a particular WPA-secured WiFi network, though as it happens only once in a while (about once every two days or so under moderate computer use) I am not sure about the source of the issue. I do know that it seems to happen only while switching WiFi networks. This is one of two new network-manager bugs that I noticed around the same time, immediately after upgrading to 15.04. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1402941] Re: Sound stutters when I try to change volume
IDK if this is relevant either but before I reported this bug it cause my computer to freeze. I restarted and went to report the bug. I ran ubuntu-bug command and selected audio problems. Then it went through it's thing and I gave me a list of hardware to select. I selected Internal-Speaker and continued. I then recreated the bug for the bug report. Continued through the process but I didn't realize I needed to report it from my browser. So I ended up exiting the new tab by accident. I forgot about Ctrl+Shift+T and just decided to make a new bug report. On my second try I ran the ubuntu-bug command. I selected audio problem again. But this time, when it popped up with a list of hardware, my Internal-Speaker wasn't there anymore. I had to select the HD-Audio- Generic. So something happened after the error that made it not recognize my hardware. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1402941 Title: Sound stutters when I try to change volume Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: IF I am trying to watch a video or just have a few tabs open in Chromium and I attempt to change the volume it stutters. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 828489] Re: Banshee randomly crashes while playing songs in Play Queue
I'm pretty sure i found a workaround: turn off gapless playback. I think it might have to do with library size the one experiencing the problem had >130K entries -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to banshee in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828489 Title: Banshee randomly crashes while playing songs in Play Queue Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Frequently when listening to music in my Play Queue Banshee will simply crash/close without any sort of notice or message. It always happens at the end of a song, but I can go back into it and play the two songs again without it crashing (so it's not the songs which are triggering it). No "Banshee has crashed" messages appear, so I have no way to debug this and I am unable to do it on demand. Any clues of what I can do to help debug this would be great. This is getting really annoying, as I can't sit down and listen to music without it crashing occasionally. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 841624] [NEW] Cannot connect to 3G (via Longcheer USB Modem) on latest Oneirc update (after Beta 1)
Public bug reported: Prior to latest update (but after last full upgrade to Oneiric Beta 1,) 3G connection using a Longcheer WM66A modem was possible. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 763781] Re: Banshee crashes when switching played song from last.fm
I'm pretty sure i found a workaround: turn off gapless playback. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 828489] Re: Banshee randomly crashes while playing songs in Play Queue
I am also getting this with 11.04, can get extremely annoying -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to banshee in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828489 Title: Banshee randomly crashes while playing songs in Play Queue Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Frequently when listening to music in my Play Queue Banshee will simply crash/close without any sort of notice or message.
