Touchpad moves around a bit too freely without the glidepoint package. But it does not die! Laptop has been up for 2 days, touchpad stayed functional entire time. So removing the glidepoint resolved this issue for me. I just also tried an uninstall of glidepoint. sudo apt-get remove glidepoint reboot My touchpad is moving much more freely. Not sure if it will die or not. Hi - Tools > Rescan Music Library fixed my situation. I was getting the GStreamer resource error: NotFound error after I reinstalled Banshee, watching it from terminal > banshee --degug.
