Title:
  Cannot change wallpaper by right-clicking image in dark theme

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in nautilus source package in Jammy:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  With the light theme enabled, you can set the desktop wallpaper by
  right-clicking on an image file's icon in the file manager and
  selecting "Set As Wallpaper". When you do this the Desktop wallpaper
  changes straight away.

  Now change to dark theme and repeat the above steps. The wallpaper
  never changes. You can however change the wallpaper fine using Gnome
  settings -> Appearance.

  Thanks

first shows a loader icon at the center, and later shows nothing but a
white blank list.

this bug is different, am talking about the size of icons inside the app

The icons inside app folder are huge and do not matches the rest of the

  Qt Frameless Applications are not behaving well

Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Description: Ubuntu Focal Fossa (development branch)
  Release: 20.04

  Bug Detail: Mutter behave differently with Qt Application with Frame-less
flags.
   example: 1- they are not resizable.
    2- window snapping doesn't work.
    3- they cannot be moved around the screen like other apps.

  Steps to reproduce:

  1- Run any Qt frame-less window app (Qt::FrameLessWindowHint). (snap
  install olivia or snap install wonderwall, these are few apps which
  uses frame-less window hint optionally). You can build your own app
  with Qt if you have code.

  2- Try to resize it.

  3- Try to snap it to the edges.

  4- Try to move it around the screen and try to move it long along X
  and Y axis.

  Expected Behavior:

  1- Qt::FrameLessWindowHint windows with Qt::Window/Widget/Dialog flag
  are supposed to be resized if they are not set to be remain FixSize.

  2- Qt::FrameLessWindowHint windows with Qt::Window/Widget/Dialog are
  supposed to trigger snapping on window snapping gesture by user.

  3- Qt::FrameLessWindowHint windows with Qt::Window/Widget/Dialog are
  supposed to move all the way along the X and Y axis of user's screen.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1872276] Re: Gnome shell huge app's icon size in the app folder

2020-04-12 Thread keshavbhatt
This bug is not related to the title issue, thats a seperate bug.

This is about the size of app icons in the apps thats are grouped
together using app folder. Their size is far bigger than the other apps
which are not grouped. This is UI/UX bug nothing serious. If one want to
focus on UI/UX this must probably be fixed.

  "OS Updates is now installed" is bad English grammar

Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Issue
  =
  "OS Updates" is a plural noun and needs a matching plural verb in English
("are" and "include")

  What happens

  1. In the Software app, switch to the Updates tab.
  2. When "OS Updates" are available, click Install.
  3. After installing, a popup says "OS Updates is now installed"

  What should happen
  ==
  3. After installing, a popup says "OS Updates are now installed"

  Similarly, the description for "OS Updates" on the Updates page reads
  "Includes performance, stability and security improvements"
  But I think it should read
  "Include performance, stability and security improvements"

2015-08-26 Thread keshavbhatt
Public bug reported:

Network-manager-gnome don't work properly after waking the machine from
hibernation ,
i have found a workaround for this problem and the solution to get back the

the problem is i can not enable networking after hibernation . the applet shows
a option (checkable menu item titled Enable Networking ) but on clicking it
nothing happens. the check comes up but network services like wifi mobile
broadband dont work (dont know what happens at backend but the options to
enable/connect to them doesn't show up in nm-applet )
