Title:
  nautilus can not create directory with right mouse-button when in list
  view

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

  I don't know, maybe I am completely blind.
  But if this is right, it would be a serious issue in my opinion:

  1.change nautilus to list view;
  2. change into any directory that has more files than nautilus can displa at
one page, so after the files is no free (in my case white) space.
  3. Usually you can click into that space and create a directory.
  But if there is no space *after* the files, you can't click on the empty
directory background, you always select a file.

  As said, please correct me if I am totally wrong, but this is annoying
  behavoiur.

  Look at Konqueror or M$ Explorer, the way they do it is the intuitive
  one.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 202157] Re: (copy/cut)/paste fails without warning if the containing folder is renamed before pasting.

2011-10-15 Thread moueza
bug still active in Nautilus of Ubuntu 11.04

Title:
  (copy/cut)/paste fails without warning if the containing folder is
  renamed before pasting.

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

  This is probably a variant of
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160082

  1) I am using Linux Mint 4.0, which actually refers to this page when I want
to report bugs.
  cat /etc/lsb-release
  DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
  DISTRIB_RELEASE=7.10
  DISTRIB_CODENAME=gutsy
  DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu 7.10

  hehe.

  3)  apt-cache policy nautilus
  nautilus:
Installert: 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7.1
Kandidat: 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu7.1

  4) I would expect the files to be pasted normally. If not, I would
  expect an error message of some sort which assures me that the files
  are still in the folder I cut them from, which they are.

  5) Nothing happens when I rename the folder. Nothing happens when I
  try to paste the files that were in the folder.

  If this is not a problem specific to my installation (Mint 4.0) or my local
settings (Norwegian), it is easily reproduced:
  Create a folder with a file.
  Cut out the file.
  Rename the folder to something else.
  Try to paste the file anywhere.

More precision: Ctl+C Ctl+V fail, but drag drop from one tab(directory)
to an other succeeds to move the file
