Confirming blurry SVG (as well as PNG) icons. Libreoffice 7.0.4.2 Ubuntu 20.04 Xfce4 4.16 4K-Screen@3840x2160 Xfce4 set to 2x window scaling Probably helpful to narrow down this issue: In general, even PNG icons are rendered correctly with most applications (Firefox, Evolution, Pluma, all XFCE4 UI) - however, the same effect happens with Thunar, where replacing the XFCE4 icon theme with one using SVG also leads to blurry rendering. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1738774 Title: Pixeled icons with LibreOffice 5.1.6.2 on HiDPI/4K display Status in LibreOffice: Confirmed Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: LibreOffice 5.1.6.2 shipped with Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS shows pixeled icons on a HiDPI/4K monitor like used in the Dell XPS 13 9360. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1280300 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1280300 The issue still persists in Ubuntu 20.04. Running mate with lightdm and light-locker configured to lock-on-suspend enabled. After resuming, the desktop contents before suspend are visible for roughly 5 seconds, before the lock screen appears. This is a security problem if there happens to be sensitive information on the screen. =Analysis from mdeslaur= This is likely what happens: 1- Something grabs mouse: ie: virtual machine window, or GTK menu in an application or an indicator 2- Screensaver attempts to start, but cannot get exclusive lock on mouse 3- DPMS turns monitor black 4- User moves mouse, which turns the screen back on 5- Mouse movement causes mouse to get ungrabbed by vm window or gtk menu 6- Screensaver can now grab mouse, and starts This is all related to the fact that X does not have an API that will let the screensaver tell an application to release mouse and keyboard grabs. When I resume from sleep, the contents of my desktop (including any open windows, emails, etc) are displayed onscreen briefly before the unlock screen is shown. This potentially allows an attacker to view the contents of a locked screen. To reproduce: 1) Suspend a machine, e.g. by closing the lid 2) Resume the machine Expected results: Upon resume, the first thing shown onscreen is the screensaver unlock screen. Actual results: Upon resume, the first thing shown onscreen is the set of open windows that were displayed before the machine was put to sleep. I had to remove both lightdm_1.2.3-0ubuntu2.1 and liblightdm- gobject-1-0_1.2.3-0ubuntu2.1 and replace the packages by the previous versions (2 instead of 2.1), which restored full login and desktop funtionality. Any suggestions?!
