[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1929851] Re: GSmartControl & NVME drive
Sent a fix to the upstream https://github.com/storaged-project/udisks/issues/1121#issuecomment-1596831383 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to udisks2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1929851 Title: GSmartControl & NVME drive Status in gsmartcontrol package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in udisks2 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 18.04.5 (Linux Mint 19.3) gsmartcontrol 1.1.3-1, amd64 I see that GSmartControl cannot work with NVME (SSD disk) correctly. I test with WD SN550 - 1TB, blue NVME drive. Problem: gsmartcontrol list my drive as /dev/nvme0n1. That is OK, but there is parent drive (/dev/nvme0) and that is not listed. /dev/nvme0 has some important information related to SMART, including value of TBW. Other issue is that gsmartcontrol cannot identify NVME disk, it list it as "Unknown model".
