[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1371853] Re: Logitech wireless mouse periodically loses correct click behaviour
Excactly the same bug occurs to me th elast few weeks. Logitec wireless mouse and keyboard on a logitec unifying receiver and only the mouse looses clicks while the keyboard keeps functioning. Switching to virtual consoles and back doens't do anything. Logout and back in will fix it so it almost looks like a userspace related issue ?? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1371853 Title: Logitech wireless mouse periodically loses correct click behaviour Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: This problem began with the 14.04 upgrade. The mouse has always worked normally until then. Approximately every 10 minutes left-clicks are not registered properly to the topmost window. They usually appear to go through to the window below and it's not possible to switch focus to a new window (or any other window). Mouse movement is unaffected and clicking on the original window (which has grabbed the focus) seems to work. The Unity bar pops out but is not clickable and rapidly re-hides. Sometimes individual window elements are not usable even if the main window itself is. Examples: * In Thunderbird, left-pane account/folder selection works, but does not perform the corresponding update to the message list/preview panes when the folder selection changes. * dialogues are popped up where parts of the dialogue respond to clicks but other parts do not. Commonly, the dialogue title/menu bar is not responsive (it cannot be moved/closed). Sometimes right-clicking will restore focus to the appropriate window/area. Sometimes not. Unloading and reloading usbhid and hid_logitech modules does not help. Restarting will fix the problem temporarily. WORKAROUND: Switch to a console and back will fix the problem temporarily via Ctrl-Alt-F1 and then Ctrl-Alt-F7. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 620331] Re: Keyboard menu title needlessly has both icon and label
Still present in daily Oneiric. More than that, the `showFlags` trick with gconf is not working anymore. Big disappointment! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620331 Title: Keyboard menu title needlessly has both icon and label Status in Ayatana Ubuntu Love Project: Fix Committed Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” source package in Natty: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon With the indicator-fied keyboard layout we now got an extra icon to the left of the layout name. This is redundant and takes away precious panel real estate, and it also looks confusing: They look like two separate indicators (all others just have an icon or just text). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 684599] Re: Memory leak in nm-applet
I got this bug in Natty with 0.8.4~git.20110318t152954.9c4c9a0-0ubuntu1 Anyway I'm just telling people to use wicd, it is so much better for everyday use. NM was never good enough even for simple network setup, few years ago it was better to configure everything manually, now it is still better to use wicd or something else that works.I cannot understand why have you taken NM into Ubuntu? Just because it has nice gnome-applet and palsma-applet in KDE? Sure it does, however it still works really bad as of 2011. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager-applet in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/684599 Title: Memory leak in nm-applet Status in elementary OS: Fix Released Status in Network Manager GNOME Applet: Invalid Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: network-manager the nm-applet is eating my ram (149MB) not that much when freshly booted. im using wifi connection via b43 driver for broadcom 4311/12 hardware (on Lenovo N100 laptop) on Ubuntu 11.04 natty 32-bit with 2.6.37-7-generic kernel indicator applet version 0.4.6-0ubuntu1 rest of the packages are up to date with proposed and backports enabled - no PPAs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/684599/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
