De ante mano, gracias por la ayuda.
Mis conocimientos de Linux son pocos y mi Ingles es el de Google.
Me cuesta entender un poco todo lo que me explicas. De hecho no llego a saber 
cual es la solución a mi problema.
Voy a intentar leer despacio lo que me has mandado y ver que puedo hacer.

También espero no haber me equivocado en la forma de reportar un fallo o
problema con mi portátil y mi Ubuntu.

Para mi es difícil entender que, después de tantas versiones de Ubuntu,
el sonido de mi portátil no se configure bien. Lo dicho, no soy un
experto, pero mi portátil es muy normal.

Reitero mi agradecimiento y lamento mi poca experiencia. Por lo demás,
soy un usuario muy contento con mi sistema Linux, con el que puedo hacer
todas mis cosas.
