Thanks for reply. I remove pipewire by using `Muon package manager` and then restart computer. Still no sound and dummy output. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1897765] Re: gnome-shell crashed with signal 5 in g_log("Error in freeze/thaw accounting") from meta_window_actor_thaw() from WindowManager::_sizeChangedWindow
Hi everyone, I just had the issue described here : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1901222 with citrix and ended up on this page. I added the ppa and updated gnome and it looks like it's working. My IT person also did an upgrade of Citrix on the distant machine so I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure the issue was gnome-related. Thanks for the fix, just a quick question, is there any downside in using your ppa Ernst ? (stability issues for instance). Should I remove it when this is merged in the main ubuntu repo ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1897765 Title: gnome-shell crashed with signal 5 in g_log("Error in freeze/thaw accounting") from meta_window_actor_thaw() from WindowManager::_sizeChangedWindow Status in Mutter: Unknown Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in gnome-shell package in Debian: Unknown Bug description: https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/2f47b25de323a59b617efbd8ce4b9bc7789848bd https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/fc9ef2077ed4ee125d73f018d3f8101a2beb0605 --- Launching terminator crashes gnome-shell, happens on two separate machines. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1702626] [NEW] New kernel update doesn't reconfigure nvidia package
Public bug reported: I have had this bug for a while now but only figured out the fix recently. Basically after each new kernel update in Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, when starting the computer, GDM doesn't start. I have to go to a terminal using Ctrl - Alt - F2 and launch a "sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-375" and then "sudo service gdm3 restart" And that's how I get my desktop back. This has been happening regularly at least since I upgrade to 17.04 (maybe even since 16.10). I think it might be occuring in 16.04 LTS as well as I have a colleague who's experienced something similar. Basically after each new kernel update in Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, when starting the computer, GDM doesn't start. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1259422] Re: Google authentication error in empathy
I've had this problem with empathy for a long time. Please fix. This is a key feature of Ubuntu and it just doesn't work. Keeping an account connected shouldn't be such a pain in the ass. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1259422 Title: Google authentication error in empathy Status in empathy package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Basically empathy can authenticate google account. But after couple of days when i start empathy, it can't authenticate google account. Other application which use google account are working fine. Off/On google account doesn't solve this problem. What i need to do is remove the account and add it again. And same things will happen after couple of days. It's embarrassing.
