Title:
[Precise] Page scaling appears to be processed twice, when printing
  multiple pages per side

Status in cups-filters package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in cups-filters source package in Precise:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
  Release: 12.04
  cups:
Installed: 1.5.2-9ubuntu1

While printing multiple pages per side on Precise (upgraded from
Oneiric) to a Konica-Minolta Bizhub 452, it appears that page scaling
is applied twice. Thus two pages per side results in an output with
four pages per side, four pages per side results in an output with
sixteen pages per side etc. Print preview shows an expected result,
i.e. four page document with two pages per side results in a two page
preview. The printing of multiple pages per side worked flawlessly in
  Oneiric.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1002813] Re: [Precise] Page scaling appears to be processed twice, when printing multiple pages per side

2015-01-29 Thread Ludwig Cornelius
This Problem is not printer specific. It also occurs with the cups-pdf printer
and gtk2-based applications like Firefox or Evince. For a Firefox bug see:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1072318

I can print correctly 2 on 1 in Firefox if I copy the pdftops binary
from Ubuntu 14.04 to our Ubuntu 12-derivate. But I guess this kind of
bug fixing could have side effects.

Anyway, I can confirm that pdftops matters.
